Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using RecoBoost ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App, including store owners and authorized personnel.

2. Description of Service

RecoBoost is a Shopify application that provides AI-powered product recommendation features for online stores. The App analyzes customer browsing and purchase behavior to generate personalized product suggestions, including:

• Collaborative filtering recommendations (view-based, purchase-based, cart-based)
• Browsing history-based recommendations
• Access ranking and purchase ranking
• Performance analytics dashboard
• Theme and checkout UI extensions for recommendation display

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

3.1 Plans

RecoBoost offers the following subscription plans:

• Starter — $25/month (up to 100 products, 6 recommendation types)
• Standard — $50/month (up to 1,000 products, 6 recommendation types)
• Pro — $99/month (up to 10,000 products, 6 recommendation types)

3.2 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. During the trial period, you will have access to the features of the selected plan at no charge.

3.3 Billing

All billing is processed through Shopify's Billing API. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice. By subscribing, you authorize Shopify to charge the applicable fees to your account.

3.4 Plan Changes and Cancellation

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through the App. Plan changes take effect immediately. Upon downgrading, recommendation configurations exceeding the new plan's limits may be automatically removed (oldest first). Cancellation stops future charges; no refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of RecoBoost, you agree to:

• Provide accurate store and account information
• Use the App in compliance with Shopify's Terms of Service and applicable laws
• Ensure that your use of recommendation features complies with consumer protection regulations in your jurisdiction
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
• Not use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of RecoBoost is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of RecoBoost, including but not limited to software, algorithms, design, and documentation, are owned by us and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the App but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes in advance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RecoBoost and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, sales, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that recommendations generated by the App will result in increased sales or any specific business outcome.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or Shopify's Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data deletion upon termination follows the process described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
